Sugar Full Moon

The moon was rising over the Rincon mountains

to the East as we looked between the trees.

The Moonrise was so dramatic

I was astonished that it made no sound…

It should have been Glory and Trumpets.

But nothing happened... we met no one.

No Lions or Javelinas, no Coyotes or Bobcats.

No Angels descended, just clear and silver light

as we stayed together.
